What is Bullying?

Some useful information on Bullying...

Sometimes it is difficult to give a direct answer, because it means different things to different people, however bullying always includes -

  • Deliberate hostility and aggression towards the victim
  • A victim who is weaker and less powerful than the bully or bullies
  • An outcome which is always painful and distressing for the victim
Bullying can be -
  • Kicking
  • Punching
But it can also be -
  • Spreading rumours
  • Leaving people out
  • Sending nasty texts
  • Making threats
Sometimes we might feel bullied but the "bully" has not meant to do this, other times it is deliberate and intentional.
