The diploma qualification offers 14-19 year olds practical, hands on experience as well as classroom learning. It is designed to help young people develop the knowledge and skills employers and universities want. Diplomas in 14 subject areas are currently available in selected schools and colleges

There are three levels of Diploma each taking 2 years to complete

Foundation Diploma - level 1 qualification equivalent to 5 GCSE's at Grades D to G
Higher Diploma - a level 2 qualification for those over 16, equivalent to 7 GCSEs a equivalent to at Grades A* to C
Advanced Diploma - A level 3 qualification for those over 16, equivalent to three and half A levels
