If you have started smoking and want to give up, below are some tips on how....
- Pick a date and mark it on your calendar
- Tell friends and family about your Quit Day
- Stock up on sugarless gum, sweets.....
- Set up a support system
- Get rid of cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays etc
- Keep active
- Drink lots of water and juices
- Begin using nicotine replacements and/or attend stop smoking class
- Avoid smoky situations
- Reduce or avoid alcohol
- DO NOT SMOKE
Use the four 'A''s (Avoid, Alter, Alternatives, Activities) to deal with tough situations
