Work and Careers Guidance

Directions is a targeted service within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead offering information, advice and guidance for young people under 19 years who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or who are at risk of becoming NEET. For young people with learning difficulties or disabilities this support is available up to 25 years.

What can Directions offer you?

Directions can offer advice, guidance and information in the following areas-

The team offers weekly drop in sessions that are open to any young person aged between 13-19 (25 with a learning difficulty or disability) as well as opportunities for personal development, confidence building and self esteem - ring to talk in confidence to a team member on 01628 685858.

Maidenhead - Mondays - 1.30-3.30 pm Youth and Community Centre, 4 Marlow Road,
Windsor - Wednesdays - 1.00-3.00pm The Manor Youth Centre, Dedworth,
Cox Green - by appointment only
Ascot - by appointment only
Datchet - by appointment only
Eton Wick - by appointment only

Directions also work closely with local schools to offer information, advice and guidance to young people who may be at risk of becoming NEET. If you would like an appointment with one of the Directions Advisers working within your school, please call 01628 685858 to make an appointment or speak to the teacher in charge of careers.

If you have particular needs such as learning difficulties or disabilities support is available for you up to the age of 25 years at DIRECTIONS by phoning 01628 685858. The team can offer specialist guidance, information and advice for young people on the phone or arrange a time and place to meet with you as appropriate.
